We can laugh and laugh at Joe Biden for saying that FDR was in office during the crash. And laugh even more for saying that he got on the TV and spoke to the country. Yes it's funny.
Just as everyone else does, Biden makes mistakes. And so does Sarah Palin. They're tied on that count. Here's the difference. You push Joe Biden a little further and you find out that he does know what he's talking about. He realizes that was a mistake.
You push Palin further and you realize that she can't think of a single Supreme Court decision other than Roe v Wade. She can't name a single newspaper or magazine. She can't defend her credentials.
Biden embarrasses himself by saying things that don't reveal his knowledge. Palin's mistakes are more sound than her philosophies.
But can you use it in a sentence?

Palin: "I read 'em all, Katie. I read various news sources -- all kinds of 'em, Katie. Alaska's just like the rest of the country. We've got all the good news sources Katie, and I've read 'em all."
Couric: "Can you just name one?"
Palin: "Oh, yeah -- we've got lots of 'em. All of 'em, even."
